Early History Dr.
George King was born in Shropshire, England on January 23rd, 1919. From
early childhood he developed a keen interest in spiritual matters,
finding expression in traditional Christianity. However, he soon
realised that there was more to life than the orthodox could show him
as he began to manifest natural psychic ability which opened up a whole
new world of phenomena for him to study.He quickly became an adept of this research, delving deep beneath the superficial nature of things to their hidden causes. Still looking for more answers to his searching mind he began to study yoga. For the next 10 years he practised this ancient science for 8-12 hours per day until his mastery of all known terrestrial phenomena and the inner workings of his mind made him a "Knower". Yet he was still in his thirties! The CommandDetermined to help humanity raise itself from universal suffering and ignorance, his life's mission became abundantly clear on May 8, 1954. Alone in his London apartment, a loud physical voice delivered the following Command:
He was initially shocked by the implications of this statement. It came right out of the blue - without warning or explanation. All he knew with his mastery over terrestrial phenomena, was that what he had heard - he had heard! He later described in many of his literary works his immediate reaction to this dramatic event:
A few days later he was visited by a world-renowned Yoga Master whom he knew to be alive and very active in India at that time. This Master, in every way physical, had entered through a locked door - and left the same way without even opening it. During the meeting, Dr. King was given a series of highly specialised exercises enabling him to bring about a state of consciousness necessary for the establishment of mental rapport with the Cosmic Masters who inhabit the higher planes of other planets. In the previous ten years In the previous ten years Dr. King had become a Master of Raja, Gnani and Kundalini Yoga - enabling him to attain the elevated state of consciousness known as Samadhi. It was for this reason that the Cosmic Masters of the Solar System began using him as their "Primary Terrestrial Mental Channel", in order to give their message to Earth. His Mission had begun. 1955 - 1959, EnglandFrom the moment the Command was given all Dr. King's personal business ambitions were abandoned as the information from the Space Intelligences grew in importance and urgency.On their direction he founded The Aetherius Society and began publishing the journal, Cosmic Voice. He lectured throughout Britain serving as the channel for numerous Transmissions from Cosmic Intelligences. On May 21, 1959, under the glaring lights of the British Broadcasting Corporation, he demonstrated yogic Samadhic trance over live television, so that a Cosmic Master from another planet could speak to Britain. This unique event was broadcast to an estimated viewing audience of several million. 1959 - 1997, AmericaIn June 1959, acting upon Cosmic Authority, Dr. King moved to the United States of America where The Aetherius Society was incorporated as a non-profit organisation in November 1960.Over the next two decades he continued to act as Primary Terrestrial Mental Channel, recording over 600 Cosmic Transmissions from the Space Masters. This collection of Transmissions constitutes the most priceless metaphysical library in the world, with a range and depth of teachings without equal in the annals of occult truth. In February, 1983, Dr. King visited the New Zealand Branch of The Aetherius Society. He gave several interviews and public lectures as well as personal teachings to the members. On July 12, 1997, Dr. King passed away in Santa Barbara, California. The Cosmic Teachings and Spiritual Missions that he left behind provide the foundation stones for the New Age and are the heritage of us all.
