 Our premises in Birkenhead on the North Shore Operation StarlightIn 1960 Dr George King travelled to New Zealand to extend the world Mission known as Operation Starlight and Mount Wakefield was charged on the 24th of December 1960.Early DaysA Twelve Blessings Group was formed as early as 1958 when Mrs I Stedman officially represented The Aetherius Society in New Zealand. In 1978 an official trip to New Zealand by European Headquarters Secretary Dr Richard Lawrence was organised by Mrs Shirley Adcock.During this trip many foundation stones were laid and later a small group of people came together to form the first official Twelve Blessings Group. The group Organiser, Mrs Margaret Kilbey and her family, opened up their home in Glenfield as a base for the growing activities of this expanding nucleus of people. In 1980 Dr Richard Lawrence returned to New Zealand and from this an active healing sanctuary was formed and the goal of having a New Zealand base for Operation Prayer Power led to weekly practice sessions. The following year the expanding group became an official Branch and its activities moved into promotion and teaching of self development courses. A visit from Dr KingA turning point for the New Zealand Branch was the visit to this country by the Founder/President, Western Master of Yoga Dr George King, in 1983. Prior to this a small Temple had been built on the property of Mr & Mrs Kilbey for use by the Branch and this was blessed by Dr King. The New Zealand group was becoming stronger and began preparing itself for greater things.In 1991, after 10 years of practice, the inauguration of Operation Prayer Power through the remote module system took place - a great honour for all involved. The Move to BirkenheadIn 2001 the Branch moved into its own premises in Birkenhead on Auckland's North Shore and a massive job of renovation took place. All of this helped to prepare a base for the eventual goal of housing a Spiritual Energy Radiator, and cooperating with the Cosmic Masters to help flood this world with tremendous uplifting spiritual energies. This major goal was achieved in September 2006 - the culmination of a lot of hard work throughout the previous years.The New Zealand Branch TodayThe New Zealand Branch today is a busy place with a variety of activities including: Spiritual Healing, Yoga Classes, regular Twelve Blessings Services, pilgrimages to New Zealand's Holy Mountain, cooperation in Cosmic Missions such as Operation Prayer Power and Operation Space Power, Divine Services, as well as Discovery Evenings, Workshops and more. |
