How does a pendulum work? Many theories have been given as to why and how pendulum dowsing works, but to answer these questions we must look at who we are.Every person is a spark of Divine Consciousness, a spiritual being. This spark of Divine Consciousness drives our physical and auric body through life. We are linked to this higher aspect through the super conscious mind. What we call mind is an all-pervasive energy existing on many frequencies. It does not exist within our brains but the brain is a receiver and translator set for this mind energy. There are three aspects of mind:
The Conscious MindThis is the part of mind, which we are aware of. It governs all mental and physical actions. For example the act of walking has come about because the conscious mind has instructed the body to move. The Subconscious MindThe subconscious mind governs physical functions such as the digestion of food. It can weigh 1000mg of vitamin B1 and send it to a section of glands that needs this. The conscious mind may instruct the body to walk but it is the subconscious mind, which activates certain muscles and nerves to bring this about. The subconscious mind knows exactly what food and nutrients our body needs to keep it in the best possible health. This aspect of mind is also a vast storehouse of information which can be recalled much the same as the information within a computer. The Super Conscious MindThe super conscious mind governs inspiration and intuition and can help to provide higher guidance in our lives. We can through practice and with the aid of the pendulum sensitise our brains to receive information from our subconscious and super-conscious aspects of the mind. By doing this we can tap into the vast knowledge stored within the subconscious mind and into the higher inspiration from the super-conscious mind. When we do this we can know many things about our health and wellbeing as well as the world around us. A pendulum then is a tool, which can register responses from the subconscious and super-conscious aspects of our mind. The reaction starts off in the mind and is translated by the brain into impulses, which move the pendulum. Next: Find out how to use a pendulum. |
