Our next Pilgrimage

You are warmly invited to join us on our next Pilgrimage to Mt Wakefield, New Zealand’s holy mountain, currently scheduled for 8-9 March 2025.  Mt Wakefield is located in the foothills of Aoraki/Mt Cook and is a short drive from the village of Mt Cook.

Itinerary

As is now customary, on the official climbing day the pilgrims will split into two groups –, one group will remain at the foot of the mountain.  The other group will make the trek up the lower slopes and conduct their services in a secluded area.

In the evening the pilgrims then gather to exchange thoughts and experiences while dining at a local restaurant. The following day, the pilgrims gather again to perform more Twelve Blessings services at the base of Mt Wakefield.

Many of the pilgrims also stay on for a further night, which provides the opportunity to spend more time with your spiritual brothers and sisters in this truly majestic setting of the Mt Cook alpine range and of course Mt Wakefield.  There are lots of scenic walks in the area which cater to a range of abilities and time frames.
