Festival of Wesak
In the Aetherius Society we acknowledge the great spiritual masters who have come to Earth throughout the ages to assist in the salvation and enlightenment of humanity.
One such great master is the Lord Buddha.
Each year we celebrate the Festival of Wesak which commemorates the birth of the Lord Buddha on Earth. It is a holy day for all Buddhists and is observed annually on the Sunday nearest to the full moon in May.
In our special service we celebrate his life and how:
- He is a great example of spiritual success
- He came to Earth to teach the road to contemplative peace and inner knowledge, known as “the middle way”
- He is still very involved with Earth and works with other great masters in service to humanity as part of the Cosmic Plan
Prayers, mantras and mystic visualisations will be used during the service.
“Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.”
– The Lord Buddha
